While the editing process is happening...

Since I knew that I wouldn't take much part in the editing process (not actually knowing the structure to the music video very well), I thought it was probably best to keep myself  busy in other ways. Myself and Dee (Duygu) started discussing about creating a website for the artist.

We knew this would be very important, as it is another way the artist can connect with fans. In addition, it is a great way of exposing someone new. 

The first thing we did was analyse the Lily Allen website, since that's the artist we compare Kayla'O with. 

The Lily Allen Website:

The main reason why I wished to look at the website was because I wished to have a structure on how was the best way to present it. Since I've never really created my own website from scratch, I thought it was really important to at least know the outline of a website like this. 

What was really appealing was that the home page of the website, was the artist's most recent album cover. The artist was clearly showcasing/exposing her new music; as it was her fans who are more likely to come across such a website, it gives them a better opportunity to get access to the artist's album. 

In addition, throughout the whole website, you can notice the album's colour pallet was used. This is because the artist wish her fans to recognise the album's theme whenever it's insight. The colours are both bright and bold; colours which compliment the artist as well as the style of music, pop. 

What was also really interesting was that, the website featured all the artist's older material; older albums and all the artist's song lyrics. In addition, there is a page which is dedicated to updates of the artist as well as tour dates.

I've been fortunate to expand my use of ICT once again as I'm using the website Wix (wix.com) to help me try and produce a successful website.

So far the website has just began its making process. So far I've made sure to include the name of the artist, the artist's single as well as include background colours which consist of the colours seen on the album cover. 

I hope to use this website as another of realising our single, 'Bass Like Home' as well as exposing our new artist.
