Name of Artist/Band: Marina and the Diamonds.
Album Cover Name: Electra Heart (2012).
Notes: The album relates to the title of the album 'electra', means something static, and looking at the album art work we can see that it's somewhat distorted and static looking. We see a close up of her face with a heart shaped mark which is used in all of her music videos from this album, this is seen as her prop. Looking at the artwork we can expect to see the heart prop (in her music videos) along with the album font. We also expect to hear a lot of technical sound such as dub step.
Music Video Single: Electra Heart.
Notes: We see her red lips and the heart shaped mark, the exact same one we saw in the album artwork. We see a series of fast moving images the electro sound, which we could have guessed by looking at the album. In the music video we see flash backs of her previous music videos, and this is sort of dedicated as her last performance before she was no longer around in the industry. The artist is wearing darker colours which contrast her red lips. And red lips are seen as a universal sign of seduction.
Music Video Single: Primadonna.
Notes: As soon as the music video starts, we see 'Marina and the Diamonds', 'Primadonna' on a pink and static background with the exact same font as the album art work. We then see a close up of a static Marina, wearing the exact same makeup and having the exact same hair as she did in the album. We are starting to see a pattern in these videos. We see the artist constantly making eye contact with the camera as a form of engaging the viewer in her music video. We see similar shades of static grey, pink and red as we see in the album artwork and the same font in the beginning and the end (used as self promotion).
Features used in all products: The same font in all four products. The hart shaped mark underneath her left eye. Her red lips and drawn on bottom eyelashes. And last but not least, the repetitive grey, silver, pink and turquoise flash of static colours.
